Gajar Halwa Recipe, How to make Gajar Ka Halwa Recipe
Hello my dear Readers!!! First of all I wish you a very Happy and Great New Year 2016. I thought why not start this New Year with a Sweet. Presenting the most famous Indian Dessert Gajar Halwa.
Gajar Halwa or Gajar Ka halwa is a traditional sweet Dish made out of Grated Carrots. It can be made in any season with any type of Carrots. But in winters we get a different type of Carrots. They are long, thin and Red in colour unlike the usual Orange coloured Carrots. Some people call it Indian Carrots. Below is the picture of this Indian Variety of Carrots…. Kuch Yad Aaya? (Did you remember something?). If you are Bollywood Movies Lover then you should have by now. Do you remember the scene in PK movie? The scene in which Aamir Khan Gives a 50Rs note and then the seller gives a bunch of Gajar? Hilarious isn’t it?
Now coming to this Gajar Halwa Recipe, I have kept it very simple and easy. When we make Gajar Halwa on Stove top, it needs some patience and we need to keep stirring it every now and then. But the end result is just awesome and is worth it. Check out my Friends Version of Ghajar Halwa on Fa’s Kitchen. She is the master of authentic and traditional recipes.
The Gajar Halwa recipe given below is the microwave version and gives the same taste of traditional way of preparing it. And I have added only milk as I was running out of khoya.
