Tomato Upma Recipe – Tangy and Yummy

Tomato Upma Recipe

Well this is another breakfast recipe of mine. A Typical South Indian Breakfast with a slight twist. Of course this twist is known to many. Upma is one of the easiest breakfast recipes. There is no need to chop a bowl full of veggies to prepare Upma. Few Chopped Green Chillies are more than enough to prepare a simple Upma. It doesn’t even take much time to prepare.

There are many Variations of Upma, with vegetables, with grated coconut, with buttermilk, with sambar powder, with brinjals, with tomatoes. In some houses upma is even prepared with left out idlis. Sounds Interesting isn’t it? It’s delicious too.

I like upma in my breakfast and sometimes even in dinner as it keeps my dinner simple and light. I like to eat upma along with dosa. The soft, well-cooked semolina is just delicious and sumptuous.

Tomato Upma Recipe is a colourful and a slight tangy version of regular Upma. Roasted Semolina is cooked in Tomato Gravy by adding water. Adding little bit more Turmeric makes this Tomato Upma Recipe Colourful.
